Hey y'all. Here I am again sharing some creations made with the wonderful Magistical Memories Chipboard!
My first project is a layout called "Life is Good". I am not really a mini book person. I wanted to show you how you can use the Magistical Memories mini-books on your layouts. I used the Fancy Frame Layered Book. I took one of the pages, covered it with Fancy Pants Summer Soiree paper, distressed up the edges, added some pen stitching and put my title on it. Cool eh? This layout is inspired by April Sketch #2 created by Janelle Lee. You have until the end of the month to come by the forum and enter in your layout using the #2 Sketch for a chance to win some really cool chippies from Magistical. We have 2 sketches every month, so don't miss out.
My next project is a layout called "A Boy is a Joy". I used the Magistical Memories 1" Circle Border on this layout. Love all the borders we have at MM. I cut 3 circles off this border, covered it with paper from Kaisercraft, added some pen stitching and placed it under the 3 photos of my darling boys. To jazz up the border a bit, I cut out flowers from one of the papers in this Kaisercraft collection and put the flowers on pop dots. Then I added Kaisercraft Pearls inbetween the flowers.
And my last project is a card called "Thx". If you are a txting type of gal, you know that thx is a shorthand for Thanks. So I thought it would be cute to use it on a card. I used Fancy Pants Delight papers. Love these papers. I cut the paper at 4.5 inches and then folded it in half so that the card is 6 inches tall. I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch for the bottom of the card. Then I took the striped paper and put it on the bottom on the inside of the card. I am crazy for striped papers. Then I covered the Magistical Memories Brad Flowers with other papers from the collection, distressed the edges, added some pen stitching and then placed Kaisercraft Pearls for the flower centers. Then added the Thx sentiment at the bottom right of the card.
***OKAY NOW FOR THE RAK***

I will leave the comments open till Thursday night at 11:59pm Eastern Time. After that I will close all comments and will draw a winner. Winner will be announced Friday here on the blog.
Good luck ladies.
Yes I travel a lot. LOL. As some of y'all know, I am a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. I am ranked in the World for my age and rank. I travel around the country and compete at tournaments to earn points towards my Top Ten ranking. And that is what I am in NJ for. Tmrw morning is a Class A tournament. Class A is in reference to the number of points you get for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Only the top 3 get points. Currently I am 10th in Forms and 9th in Sparring. I do have a pending tournament that hasn't been added into the points yet so that will change my ranking. So tmrw I am ready to kick ass and take names. LOL.
The drive was wonderful. I have never driven up the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I left my house around 5ish. I had some stuff to do during the day so I got a late start. But it wasn't a big deal. Traffic on the Chesepeake Bridge Tunnel was nothing. Usually that part is jam packed with cars. It is often shut down due to high winds, and after traveling on it today I can see why. AND HOLY CRAP!!! $12 to cross that baby. It rounds out to about $1 a mile. I wasn't expecting that. URGH! I took some pictures with my SLR, but I don't have the card reader with me, so I will have to wait till tmrw night to download them. But I have some photos of the trip on the point and shoot. The Bridge Tunnel has a VERY LONG bridge portion and two tunnels. I never knew a bridge could go that far. The drive was beautiful though. It was a crystal clear day too. I cannot wait to see it tmrw driving back.
I drove up through Maryland on US-13 and then up through Delaware. Then up through Dover, DE and Wilmington, DE and hit the New Jersey Turnpike. You would think it was the German version of the Autoban. Maniacs I swear. I was wondering where Denno was at. LOL. All the Staties seemed to be on the Southbound side tonight.
Um, okay? This is what you see when you cross into New Jersey from Delaware on the NJ Turnpike. What type of crisis are they talking about? The economy is in shambles, so yeah NJ, America is in Crisis. LOL. But being serious, I am sure this is for people who are suicidal. Although, I do find it distrubing that suicidal people would be driving out on the Turnpike...like I said, you would think it was the German version of the Autoban. I saw this one car in my reaview, tailgating me and then the car went in the left lane, sped up to probably about 90, cut off this other car and then whipped on over to the right lane. And then proceeded to weave in and out of his lane, onto the shoulder. OY!
I am really curious how much New Jersey makes in a day with all these cars coming through these toll booths. And that big rig in the right lane has to pay a lot of money.
My bill for the NJTP was $4.35. Um, okay? Why can't you just round it up? Like I am going to drum up 35 cents from my purse. And yeah, the scrapbooker that I am, I even asked the guy if I could keep my ticket. LOL. He said no. GRRR!
So my total milage was 335 miles from my house. 1.5 tanks of gas. Not bad. And come to find out...there is a ferry that can take you from Delaware to the Southern coast of Jersey. WAY COOL! I may see if I can catch that tmrw. I am all up for saving gas. Tee hee.
Will have some pictures from tmrw to report on the tournament. If you are on Facebook, look me up...I am under Selena Aquino Kimsey. I will update throughout the day. I will try and see if someone can take some video of me sparring tmrw. Since I didn't take any when I was at the VA Beach tournament. There is a girl who I competed with at VAB, who will be there, so I will ask her if she minds doing it for me...unless of course I have to spar against her.
My comfy bed at my hotel is calling my name......
Goodnight y'all!
I absolutely LOVE my local scrapbook store. Beach Scrapbooks is located in VA Beach and is just 5 miles away from the beach. The location is perfect. They have a HUGE selection of Quickutz. In fact they have the highest number of Quickutz Club members than any other store in the US. They rock! The Quickutz Rep has been to the store I believe twice already for special classes. I went over to the blog and they posted about getting in the new Fancy Pants Lines. LOVE LOVE LOVE Fancy Pants. I grabbed two paper lines and the artisan shaped mixed media album. I am not going to use it as an album though. Going to use the pages on an actual scrapbook page.
So this is their Quickutz area. SWOON!!! I swear they have every shape, alphabet, border, you name it. Today I also picked up an exclusive die made exclusively for Treasured Memories, Too. I don't remember how my LSS came about having them. But an email went out the other day so I called and had one set aside. It is called The Pine Tree & Critter Revi Die. It's way cute.
Vincent is on Spring Break, so it is constant arguing and fighting between him and Allister. While I was shopping they were over in the play area. I had to go over there at least 10 times to have them stop. Good thing I was only getting a few things. I dread when Vincent has school days off because they just fight and fight and fight.
So then we walked over to Panera Bread to get something to eat. I LOVE Panera Bread. I got a half Chicken Dijon Panini and a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup. Vincent got Chicken Noodle soup and Allister got the usual ham and cheese sandwich with Organic yogurt. I started talking to two guys there who were sitting next to us. They are Pastors at a new church here in VA Beach. So we talked for a little bit. Then we walked back over to the store because I forgot to buy adhesive. Can't scrap without adhesive.
So then it was back to the house. Oh how I loathe VA Beach (heck Hampton Roads) traffic. This is one of the main reasons why I pretty much stick to just traveling within VA Beach. Driving on any of the fwy's, tunnels is just murder. During the day when everyone is at work isn't as bad, but come 3:30 if you have anywhere to go, you might as well not go. LOL.
And I'm sorry, but I had to laugh at this sticker on this car next to me at a stop light. Actually Vincent was the one to point it out. I have seen plenty of stickers from the other perspective too. But I just had to laugh.
Oh yeah...before I went back to the house, I had to stop by the bank because apparently there were two paychecks waiting for me at the scrapbook store. LOL. Gotta love it when you get money you aren't really expecting at the time.
That is about it for today. I got my workout in. I am doing P90X. Y'all it is off the hook. My arms are killing me right now. But I need to stick to my plan so that I can peak at ATA World Championships in Little Rock, AR the 3rd week of June. I have a tournament up in Lincroft, NJ this weekend. And then next weekend I have a tournament down in Savannah, GA. I will definately be posting photos and possibly videos from those two tournaments. See y'all tmrw.
